SandMask Products - I have noticed that the Hartco SandMask is generally thinner than rubber resists. How can a thinner vinyl resist have as much resist capacity as a thicker rubber product? How does this impact the sign artist?

I have noticed that the Hartco SandMask is generally thinner than rubber resists. How can a thinner vinyl resist have as much resist capacity as a thicker rubber product? How does this impact the sign artist?

The increased density of vinyl over rubber allows for equivalent resist capacities in a thinner product. Because there is less material, there is a cost savings over rubber resists. The thinner gauge also allows for easier cutting which means less blade wear and longer blade life.
